Description

Midlands Technical College (MTC) offers high-tech career training and learning opportunities that stretch far beyond the classroom.

MTC has campuses in Irmo, Winnsboro and Lexington County as well as one at Fort Jackson.

Its MTC’s Airport Campus, located in West Columbia, South Carolina, which serves as the center for many of MTC’s activities.

At all MTC campuses, students may pursue associate degrees, diplomas and certificates in approximately 100 subject areas. These encompass in-demand career paths as well as more academic pathways leading to university transfers. MTC also boasts an extremely large continuing education program.

All MTC programs extend far beyond the classroom. Programs and services at MTC provide additional work, networking and other opportunities for students to succeed.

For example, there is a program that supports African-American males interested in becoming elementary school teachers. There are also internship opportunities as well as professional and academic student organizations.

It’s MTC’s Airport Campus that houses many of these opportunities. For example, at the Airport Campus one may find all of the school’s student services, which include career counseling, transfer and academic services and financial aid among others.

Also home to MTC’s extracurricular activities, the Airport Campus maintains the MTC student center, where recreational and other activities take place.

A flourishing locale, MTC’s Airport Campus is constantly growing and expanding, as additional high-tech classrooms, state-of-the-art labs and other facilities are added all the time.
