With a high job placement rate, flexible scheduling and short-term course offerings it’s no surprise that Altahama Technical College’s enrollment has increased by leaps and bounds in past years.
Located in Jesup, Georgia, Altahama Technical College brings in residents of Wayne as well as Camden, Glynn, Appling, McIntosh and Long counties, who may enroll in one of Altahama’s career education programs.
Associate degrees may be obtained in such fields as accounting and Criminal Justice. Diplomas are offered in Culinary Arts, Practical Nursing and a range of other medical, technical and business programs. There are also technical certificate programs which prepare individuals for industrial, computer, medical and other fields.
Altahama Tech’s programs aren’t necessarily time consuming either. While there are some programs that take about two years to complete, Altahama Tech also has some programs such as commercial truck driving which take as little as six weeks to finish.
There are also adult education, ESL, continuing education and workforce development courses.
Classes at Altahama Tech are offered during, the evening and, most recently, online as well, providing maximum opportunities for students regardless of their work schedule.

Financial aid is also available to eligible students and includes the HOPE grants and scholarships, as well as loans and other offerings based primarily on financial need.
