Description

If there’s one career path that’s resistant to the horrors of downsizing from the poor economy, it’s the beauty industry. If you are in or around the Valparaiso, Indiana area and want to join this exciting field, Don Roberts Beauty School may be the place for you. The school is constantly adapting to the changing world of the industry, ensuring that students who graduate won’t enter an unfamiliar workforce.

The cosmetology program is where students learn to cut, color and design hair, perform re-texturizing, scalp and shampooing services, facials, temporary hair removal, makeup application, manicures and pedicures, and manage and operate a salon. There are also manicurist and instructor training programs.

You only need a GED or high school diploma to be admitted. With around 1500 hours of class work, students will be completely prepared to become a licensed member of the beauty industry.

Students can fill out the FAFSA in order to be considered for loans, grants, and work-study programs, available to those who qualify.
