Description
Accessibility and a broad range and number of course options are some of Georgia Northwestern Technical College’s (GNTC) more outstanding features.
Centered in Rome, Georgia, GNTC has more than five campuses located throughout Rome as well as in Rockmart, Calhoun, Rock Spring and Dalton.
Associate’s degrees, career certificates and diplomas in promising career fields as well as degrees leading to transfers are all available at GNTC.
Numerous and wide-ranging, GNTC’s academics include more common majors such as Accounting, Automotive Repair, Commercial Truck Driving, Dental Assisting, Firefighting, Medical Assisting and Radiography.
However, GNTC’s well over 100 programs of study include training in much more specialized professions as well. Among them are Crime Scene Investigation, Echocardiography, Neuromuscular Therapy, Robotic Technology and Social Work Assisting.
At its various campus centers GNTC also provides adult education options, training students in basic skills such as ESL and GED preparation.
Student life at GNTC, which includes academic groups and honors societies, helps students to cultivate academic, professional and leadership skills.
Admission requires that students have a high school diploma or equivalency by the time they graduate from GNTC. All students must either take a placement test, or submit SAT or ACT scores prior to enrolling.
Financial aid is available to eligible students to assist with tuition and other expenses.
