Description
At Middlesex Community College in Lowell, Massachusetts you can get an associate’s degree or certificate in such fields as Business, Computer Technology, Criminal Justice, Dental Assisting, Graphic Design, Liberal Arts, Nursing and Theatre.
You can also join one of Middlesex’s unique Learning Communities. A learning community is just what it sounds like: one group of students takes several classes together, studying each subject in the context of a particular theme.
Unique and often effective, the Learning Communities are a way for students to integrate information more effectively, develop analytical skills, and work closely and consistently with a group of students.
While some Middlesex students choose to go directly from Middlesex into a relevant career, some also transfer to four-year schools.
Career services, personal counseling, academic advising, services for disabled students, and TRIO and financial aid programs are all in place to help students at every step of their educational journey.
With classes offered during the day, in the evening and on weekends, scheduling is made flexible so that as many students as possible may attend.
Admission is open to any student who has a GED or high school diploma. However, certain departments may have additional requirements.
