ADI Description
At the New York Automotive and Diesel Institute, located in Queens County, New York, you can train to become a master certified Automotive, Truck, and Diesel Technician or a master certified Collision Repair Technician. The institute is one of the only Automotive Service Excellence certified auto body programs in all of New York City.You can be admitted to the institute if above the age of 18, above 17 with parental consent, or above 16 ½ with a release letter from your high school. If you’re not yet a high school graduate or you lack a GED, the institute offers an independently administered standardized exam.
The institute provides several programs that range from 10 courses to 20, with the option of a full-time or part-time load. They include:

*Master Automotive Technician
*Certified Automotive Technician
*Master Truck & Diesel Technician
*Certified Truck & Diesel Technician
*Master Certified Collision Repair Technician
All of these programs are designed to give you theoretical instruction and first-hand experience with automotive technology, as well as the skills to diagnose and service the automotive, truck, and diesel systems.
Once graduated from the institute, its Placement Department will aid you in your job search. Graduates have found work with companies like H.O. Penn, Mercedes Benz, Infiniti, U-Haul, New York Bus Services, and more.
