Description

Fusing the concepts of service, spirituality and study, Cornerstone University offers not only a degree, but also an attitude towards learning and living.

A Christian University in Lansing, Michigan, many of Cornerstone’s degrees are in service-oriented fields like Education, Health Care, Human Services, Psychology and Ministry. Undergraduate and graduate level degrees in Business are also offered.

Regardless of which degree a student pursues, an attitude of service is cultivated both in and out of the classroom.

A great part of the entire Cornerstone experience, service is not simply something students are taught, but something they actually do through such activities as Cornerstone’s mission trips.

Since Cornerstone acknowledges other aspects of spiritual life, students also engage in prayer and worship groups and attend chapel services.

Also aware of the importance of social bonding and recreation, Cornerstone sponsors numerous activities ranging from the official Late Night Campus Breakfasts to theatre performance opportunities.

Like everything else at Cornerstone, the career services department takes the whole person and particularly the spiritual aspect into account. In addition to hosting job fairs, offering student internships and guiding students in resume writing, interviewing and job-search techniques, they help students to become aware of their individual God-given talents and the best way to fulfill God’s will in their career path.

In addition to weighing academic performance, the Cornerstone admissions department takes a student’s commitment to the Christian faith into account.
