Description

A variety of traditional and alternative degree and transfer programs are available at Northwest Vista College, a two-year school in San Antonio, Texas.

The UTSA Jump program is one of the more exciting offerings at Northwest Vista. Through this program, students complete one year at NVC and are then assisted by the school in a seamless transfer to a four-year degree program at University of Texas San Antonio.

The Teacher Certification program is another of Northwest Vista’s highly appealing alternative educational paths. The majority of teacher certification programs must be taken at four-year schools. This one, however, allows students to become Texas-certified teachers while incurring the minimal expense of a two-year college.

However, Northwest Vista College does not just offer unconventional and alternative methods for becoming educated. There is an abundance of traditional two-year degree and certificate programs in everything from medical fields to liberal arts, business and social sciences.

Whatever your path, Northwest Vista provides substantial support systems to see you through to the end.

Science, math, reading and writing labs are all available for free tutoring and support. There is also a Medical Insurance Plan for which students may apply, as well as personal and career counseling services. Students who wish to become more involved in their school and local community may join a school club or organization or get involved in local community services projects.

Financial aid options include loans, grants, work-study and scholarships for those who qualify.
