Academic programs at Lamar range from vocational training certificates and associate’s degrees to college-track credits. Students participating in the vocational training courses are exposed to hands-on training and comprehensive preparatory courses to tackle the job market upon graduation. Students can choose between several concentrations that represent the needs of the local economy. Allied Health, Police Academy, and various technology related fields are represented among the many vocational programs.
