If you’re seeking an exceptional vocational education, you should consider the William Moore College of Technology, one of America’s oldest vocational institutes, in Memphis, Tennessee.

The school is a non-profit, independent institution that receives no funding from local, state or federal governments. In spite of this, the college provides financial aid to eligible students through federal grants and veterans affairs.

The college operates on a trimester schedule. Academics are available in five technical programs:

  • Welding
  • Machine Shop
  • Air Condition, Refrigeration and Heating
  • Industrial Electricity and Plant Management
  • Maintenance Technology and Property Maintenance

Students have the opportunity of earning diplomas and certificates in these programs through the school’s night school programs, which meet two nights a week. These courses are designed to accommodate the busy schedules of working adults.

If you’d rather earn an associate’s degree, you can in the Air Conditioning, Industrial Electricity and Machine Shop programs.

Each program caters to the needs of the community and nationwide society and boasts high placement rates.

The college maintains an open admissions policy, allowing any student at least 18 years of age the opportunity to apply. Applicants must demonstrate good health, character and the motivation to succeed.
