With prestigious schools like the University of Indiana, Purdue University and of course the University of Notre Dame, Indiana provides a wealth of educational opportunities in both public and private institutions.
You might not have a wealth of funds, though, to pay for tuition. If that’s the case, it might be worth looking into the possibility of financial aid for Indiana residents and students.
The Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship is a good place to start, as it offers up to 550 students or more an award of $1,500 if they are Indiana residents and meet academic requirements.
Additionally, you may be able to find school-specific scholarships at Purdue, Ball State University, Butler University, or one of the many other fine schools in the state. For example, the Chancellor's Distinguished Scholarship at Indiana University offers an academically exceptional Indiana high school graduate a grant to help pay tuition.
Residency restrictions may apply in addition to academic requirements for state-specific scholarships. Students may be required to show their SAT scores or maintain a minimum GPA as well.
