Overall

I absolutely love UWM. At first, I did not want to come to college here, but I soon realized how awesome of a school it is. Not only do I love my major and classes, the friendships I have made are forever.

Academics

I love the classes I take because they pertain to my major and have only made me more interested and determined to do what I want to do with my life. Some classes are tough, but with the effort, it is worthwhile.

College Life

College life at UWM is awesome as well. Like I mentioned, I have made so many great friendships and met so many great people. There is so much to do surrounding UWM and I would highly recommend this college to anyone.

Overall

I loved the campus compared to the other two school I had transferred from. It is very diverse, decent class sizes, very helpful and polite professors who truly want you to succeed. The nursing program wasn't super easy but with the help of professors and resources, it is more than possible.

Academics

The nursing program at UWM is known to be a little tough, but definitely doable. The professors are always available and willing to help and want everyone to succeed. Some of the classes were very big, but it did not bother me at all.

College Life

There are LOTS of organizations and campus groups that students can join. I don't know much about athletics but the Pavilion has an amazing gym that's free for students to use. There are also lots of extracurricular classes such as Meditation, Yoga, and Step aerobics, as well as Rock Climbing, Camping, and Tennis for students to join. There are also plenty of bars and clubs to go out to at night in multiple areas!

Overall

UW Milwaukee is a rather large school,. However, the department you join as you pick a major is actually rather small, which gives you the chance to see familiar faces and become close with those you are learning side-by-side with. In my perspective, the music program is a prime demonstration of this. With the program holding its challenge, attitudes and friendliness welcome everyone in any person. Getting to and from classes within 10 minutes can be a challenge if you are traveling from building to building. I bicycle across campus for this purpose. Students are able to voice their opinion in the public areas of school and others engage by listening or sharing their opinion in reply. It is great to see people hang out in the open, leaving the chances open to see someone they know.

Academics

Class sizes were a thought of mine when I first searched for schools. Some lectures contain a large head count, but I feel if you are genuinely interested in the subject, you are able to reach out to the professor, student teacher(s), or other students. It is easy to overwhelm yourself with taking to may credits. I recommend taking around 15 credits/semester. Our job is to be a student, but we are also faced with living different roles that take a lot of our time and attention.

College Life

Every semester, I am discovering more student involvement to get into. The arts, culture, and volunteering is phenomenal It seems UW Milwaukee is growing rapidly and this is a good sign for the school. However, the size of the union and Athletic Center is getting a bit crowded. Though, it isn't so bad. I don't mind getting cozy with other people :) Robbery/Mugging crimes occur very close to campus as soon as the sun sets. I recommend not walking alone or bicycling to avoid this.

Overall

I transferred to this school because it offered a broad selection of majors and was well-known for its English department. One of the most memorable things about UW-Milwaukee is that it is nestled in the city's east side which is culturally rich, not to mention visually stunning.

Academics

The teachers really make the University worthwhile. I enjoyed the majority of my classes and found that the professors weren't teaching straight from a text book or taking the usual academic approach. Professors have great professional backgrounds and teach students "real world" skills that are useful out of college. They also go out of their way to engage students.

College Life

This is, in my opinion, a commuter's college so most will find that the campus is most active during the day. There are many diverse organizations to be affiliated, which is a plus. The campus is very safe and well-monitored. I think UWM has a lot to offer in terms of student life.

Overall

My experience with the University of Milwaukee was very memorable. When i arrived there for my tour i noticed that many of the staff and students were helpful and nice. The campus was not too big. I liked the fact that the buildings on campus are spread out and that they maintain a clean atmosphere. I enjoyed the library and the caffateria and found that i would enjoy living on campus. It is nice to recieve all of the information i needed to make my college decision. Milwaukee provides me with transportation if i need it and it has the option of campus housing or living in dorms. Their is a variety of food is a great on campus and off. I also liked that their was entertainment provided on campus such as bowling and a theatre.I enjoyed my visit to Milwaukee and i can not wait to be a full time student.

Academics

Although i am not a current student to UW Milwaukee i do know that the class sizes for the general education classes are relatively large but that when you become an upper classmen and start to take classes based on your major that the student number decreases. Milwaukee is a competative school and you have to put forth you best work in order to recieve good grades. I have heard from current students that the work load is average but that it is necessary to study in order to pass tests. The professors try their best to help every student but if you need extra help tutoring is available. Overall i think that Milwaukees academics are in the top for all of the UW schools.

College Life

Students at UW Milwaukee are friendly and welcoming. In order to have fun in college you have to be outgoing and involved in supporting your schools sports and arts. Their are a wide range of clubs and organizations that help you become involved. Being involved also helps your own social skills and could help you recieve an internship or a job in what your occupation will be. The activities are extremely fun to go to, especially with friends and their are endless activities to do on the weekend including bowling on campus. UW Milwaukee provides many opportunities to help enjoy the college experiance.
