Located in Sterling, Colorado, NJC offers over 80 programs of study leading to four-year transfer or to a solid career path. These include a range of fields such as Equine Studies, Cosmetology, Theatre Arts, Medical Assisting, Psychology, Forestry, Pre-Law, Liberal Arts, Occupational Therapy and the recently instituted Culinary Arts program.

Honors programs for those who wish to transfer and online and hybrid classes for those with busy schedules are some of the additional learning options available.

A health, wellness and coaching division also supplies a variety of options, including a certification to coach high school sports and exercising and health classes for personal health and well-being.

The arts at NJC are comprehensive and dynamic, providing training in music, visual art and in various dramatic careers at the award-winning NJC theatre.

Community classes for individuals, groups, agencies and organizations provide skills enhancement and training in such areas as leadership and communication skills.

Student services provide a wide range of standard and specialized supports, with offerings that include everything from tutoring, to academic and career counseling to study skills workshops to animal-assisted therapy.

Financial aid is available through such sources as HOPE scholarships, Pell grants and loans.

I mostly like the location. It is located in a small town which is different from where I grew up, a big city. This college has so many great oppritunities for you to grow and learn. If you like change, want to meet new people, and be part of a different kind of family, then northeastern junior college is the school for you!
