The Institute of Audio Research in New York City offers a full range of courses to prepare individuals for different careers within the audio industry.
The institute’s academics encompass beginning courses like Basics of Digital Audio and Audio Electronics. Students may also take such specialized courses as Ear Training and Acoustics, Audio Processing and Storage, Digital Music Production and Post-Production Audio.
The institute also offers advanced courses for students who have progressed through the beginning levels of audio technology. Advanced courses include:
- Media Production Technology
- Video Post-Production
- Concept Development and Pre-Production
- Advanced Audio Post Techniques
All of the institute’s classes incorporate hands-on projects that use the most current technologies and tools.
The Institute of Audio Research also offers courses that help students to devise business and marketing plans and strategies.
Eligible students may receive partial tuition scholarships and federal financial aid awards like Pell grants and Stafford and Plus loans. They may also receive private loans, loans for New Jersey State residents and veteran’s benefits.
The institute conducts open house sessions for those who are interested in applying for admissions. At the open house, prospective students may participate in hands-on demonstrations and ask questions about classes and admissions policies and procedures.
