Reviews for University of South Alabama
This is my first year at USA. I am enjoying college life at USA. My orientation experience was a great memorable event. It was well planned. The staff and students were excited and welcome everyone with smiles.
The ratio to professor and students are small compared to other universities. The resources that USA has provided for the students are a wide variety. My workload is okay. Studying is required, which I didn't do in high school. The staff is helpful, but you must attend class in order to get all you need to succeed in their class.
Leaving home for college meant exploring a new place, making new friends, independence, making decision and prioritizing. I was face big changes in a small amount of time, which can be both exciting and intimidating. Miles College Upward Bound Program helped me in ways beyond I could have imaged. College meant a new social scene. Moving to a new place where you’ll know few people, luckily I had some friends from Birmingham to attend USA. This still was a great opportunity to make new friends and try new things. With parent supervision in high school, there’ was clear line between school life and home life. When Went off to college and live on campus, I am among friends of my age. So it’s important to balance having fun with the other parts of your life: studying, staying healthy and even sleeping. Managing my time became more important when I left high school for college. Schoolwork is my mine priority. Extracurricular activities, clubs, organizations and jobs important parts of my college life too. One of the best and worst things about college is that there are so many things to do besides taking classes. I have to make choices regularly about where to focus your energy and stay focus on why I am at college.
i have enjoyed my first year . i recommend south to my friends for a prospective college choice. everyone has been very helpful in helping me adjust to college life. i plan on enjoying every year until graduation!
i am a freshman, so i have only taken one full semester and am currently in my second. the classes have been awesome! i love the professors, they are always available for students after classes. the class size seems reasonable to me.
at south the social life is really amazing! i have had a wonderful time meeting new and interesting people this year. there is a wide variety of clubs and organizations to explore and become a part of if you wish too.
