Overall

As long as your organized, and participate with each class with your 100% attention, you will be fine. There are alot of help, you just have to look and be responsible. I love american river college, it's very dedicated to get their students to graduate.

Academics

I take 12 units a semester, and 9 units for summer classes. I do very well, and use my resources so I can make my schedule as flexible as possible. I worked after my classes, and picked my teachers according to my sleep/work schedule.

Campus Facilities & Safety

Each part of the campus helps students, parking is a little hard and rough, but as long as you can wake up early you will have a spot, otherwise good luck with your morning workout. The library and the LRC are very reliable to help you with your H.w.

Overall

American river college has provided a great place for me to continue my education. The campus is large and offers a wide array of class options (although with all this gov BS classes are filling quickly and being cut)(p.s. THE GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!) I am just finishing my first year at ARC and have soaked up so much knowledge i dont know where to put it all. haha just kidding. all my teachers have been backed by atleast 30 years of teaching in the fields they are in, and all were very helpfull and easy to work with. ARC overall just provides the right atmosphere for me to properly further my education, and achieve my goals. Oh and it does help that it's loaded with pretty girls!

Academics

I can only speak for the classes that i have taken (which are) Electronic Technology, spanish, hortaculture. I was informed while already enrolled so it had no effect on me taking classes at ARC, that ARC has the top rated electronics and hortaculture departments/programs of all community colleges in the state and in some cases the nation. my teachers are all such cool people! There always ready and willing to help you understand and know how to communicate with students so that goal of knowledge is easily accomplished. most classes are kept to 30 students to provide space to work at lab stations, this small size helps to get the one on one you need to really learn. although with all these budget cuts i can forsee much larger class sizes or much longer waits to get into required classes, which also= less one on one available from the teachers= allbad for the students! At the moment the classes are still at a good place....get in while you still can!!

Campus Facilities & Safety

overall the whole campus is very nice and they are adding new buildings as we speak. the campus atmosphere is a fun one, i havent seen any fights or people exploding in class, everybody basicly conducts themselves in a polite fun harted manner, or they keep to themselves. parking sucks! but thats the same at all colleges. campus safety is good the cops are always cruzin around to keep everybodys cars safe. All facilities are as modern as there budget will allow, clean, and easy to find. The Financial Aid Dep is AMAZING!!!! I love those ladys! they break there backs to try to help you get as much aid as possible( thats the way it should be!) Thank you to all the staff at ARC
