Overall
Great course offerings and it is community oriented. the teachers are very dedicated for the most part. i've had a great experience in the music department especially with the choir and community groups
Academics
the school has both college oriented and trade oriented offerings. they try to limit class size and many of the classes are small and have good teacher student ratios. the classes fill up quickly due to high demand.
Campus Facilities & Safety
I have not used the computer labs at all but the parking is in high demand and the lots fill up quickly. it can be difficult to find a parking space. there is construction going on currently which impedes parking even more

Overall
El Camino is a great community college that offers a lot of classes to a wide variety of students. I would encourage any prospective student who is thinking about going back to school, or going to school for the first time to consider El Camino College.
Academics
I take a full load, which means 12 units a semester. I currently have a GPA of 3.85. I am hoping to transfer to UCLA next year as a political science/economics student. I do believe that El Camino College prepares each student for the next level. If your goal is to attend a 4 year school, El Camino is a wise choice.
Campus Facilities & Safety
The campus in Torrance is big/clean with over 30,000 students attending day/night classes. The campus clubs are great and I would encourage any student to get involved in campus activities. As long as each student is willing to ask for help, the school has counselors to do the job.

El Camino College is getting better now. The new building is under construction.
Academics
Class size is pretty good. But the chairs and tables in old building is not quite good. (about height)
Campus Facilities & Safety
I think safety is good. There are many campus polices in campus. They are nice.

El Camino will prepare any student to succeed at any Major University in the nation.....Guaranteed!
Academics
From mildly rigorous to Very tough!
Campus Facilities & Safety
Needs improvement. There has been multiple sexual assaults on women and moderate crime on campus and in the park which is part of the campus but like always administrators will try to distance themselves from the park. It is a haven for homeless people.

Overall
El Camino College is a very easy access and a very open college. It is easy access because it is very easy to find buildings you may looking for, it is easy to access resources and it is easy to makes friends and always receive help. Being an athlete at the school didn't make my learning experience in the classroom any different than my peers. The teachers and other staff members treated everyone equally. Being part of the athletic community on campus did allow me to have a different experience at the school and did allow me to do different things than my peers. There are a wide range of clubs, athletic programs that you can join and make new relationships and build a network.
Academics
Academic wise El Camino is school that helps it's students reach their goals and even far beyond them. Although sometimes it is hard to get the classes you want and need, there are many classes that El Camino College has to offer to expand your learning experience. Professors' are always willing to lend the extra help if needed and there are always tutors available for anyone who is in need. Class size can very depending on a teacher's preference and depending on what kind of class you are taking. Although, you may have a big or small class size the professors always make an effort to learn your name and make your time in the classroom useful. Some classes do require more work done than others so your workload will very as well. Nothing though is something you have not learned or aren't going to learn. The workload is always doable.
Campus Facilities & Safety
The campus is very safe and there are many security guards that are available to escort you to a class or back to your car for late night and early morning classes. A lot of the facilities are new so everything is clean and nice. Even some of the older buildings are still nice a clean. Although we have a new parking lot it is hard to find good parking on campus. There are always spots to be found, but finding one that is close and short walking distance if late to a class can be kind of hard to find. El Camino has amazing resource centers like computer labs, writing labs and study rooms to help you get homework done and to help you study.

El Camino College is a great 2 year college that is affordable and flexable. I like that is close to my work and home. I like the teacher.El Camino is constantly renovating their programs and classes to help students in college journey.
Academics
My journey with El Camino College start in 1995. The choices I have made in my life have detained me from completing my education. I have always felt that El Camino College is school I want to achive my Associate degree. I always feel like I'm receiving the best education I can get.I can imagine myself continuing my education in another school.
Campus Facilities & Safety
The atmosphere at El Camino college is very warm. The teacher are great. The schedules are flexable.Facilities are constantly being improved for the benifit of the students.I feel very secure on campus.

Overall
El Camino College has many good programs that have transferrable units. The people from my classes were great! Night classes are usually full of working class adults with a specific agenda and don't fool around. The discounts afforded to the students wth the ASB sticker were tremendous. AMC tickets for 7.50, and a plethera of movie tickets for amusement parks were available for noteworthy prices.
Academics
Every class I've taken was great, except Theatre 101 with Dee Marie Nieto. She didn't appear prepared for class eighty percent of the time. Some days she didn't even know what room to hold her class in. Her office hours were arbitrary. Although it was an introductory course to acting, we didn't do a single scene until the very end of the semester. She was simply put the worst instructor/teacher I've ever had in my life.
Campus Facilities & Safety
The campus was or is being renovated, so although it was inconvenient for the time, I'm sure the new students have a lot to look forward to. The parking wasn't that great, I had a 10 minute walk to a class that wasn't even mid campus. I always felt safe on campus. Campus police had a strong presence.

Overall
I took a lot of art classes at El Co and a couple of language classes and I got a lot out of them. The facilities seem kind of outdated (and/or underfunded), but I had a good experience in my classes. El Camino is really easy to get to when you're reliant on public transit.
Academics
I took art classes (drawing, painting, sewing, sculpture and mostly theatre), two language classes (Japanese and Sign Language), and a few other general ed classes. I learned a lot and the faculty were knowledgeable. I took quite a few theatre courses including taking part in productions as a member of the cast and crew and had a good experience all around. The head of the costuming department was great to work with and I learned a lot from her.
Campus Facilities & Safety
As I said above, the facilities seem outdated, but that never got in the way of my getting a lot out of the classes I took. I also worked on campus (the Center for the Arts) and really liked my job, bosses, and co-workers. I didn't participate in campus life, so I can't say much about that part.

Overall
ECC was a great experience for me. I was able to find all the information and classes that I was seeking. They lacked a little in night and weekend class selection and the parking was a pain. They now have a parking structure which I think is amazing. Their online classes are a little hard to get into to but over all it was a great experience.
Academics
The classes were average sized and the workload depended on the classes. The one thing I found extremely lacking was the college adviser, not only was it extremely hard to get time with her but when I was able to meet with her it just seemed that I was back at square one. Maybe I expected more than was warranted.
Campus Facilities & Safety
It is a very friendly campus it just takes time to get things squared away and you can find yourself going from place to place. They now have a parking building with meters where you can use a credit card to pay. This is great when you have a full day at school but unless you make time to find parking you will find yourself trekking across the campus from the parking structure to your classes.
