About CBT College, Flagler

College of Business and Technology's (CBT) Flagler campus offers career-oriented academics in a personal setting that values mentorship. CBT's Flagler campus also offers dual language options.

The Flagler campus is located in Miami, Florida. Programs of study include associate's degrees and diplomas in healthcare and other fields. Some of the majors available at Flagler are:

  • Computer Network Support Specialist
  • Networking Administration

CBT's Flagler campus also offers many of its courses in Spanish, as well as English. Other language options include Spanish for English speakers and ESL for second-language learners.

What distinguishes CBT's Flagler campus from other schools is the personal learning environment. Classes are small and students regularly receive tutoring from faculty. The career services department also coaches students on job-search strategies from their first day of school.

Prospective students must first interview with a CBT admissions representative. After that, they will need to provide proof of their high school diploma or GED and two references. All applicants will also need to provide evidence of US citizenship. The final step in the admissions process is to meet with a CBT financial aid counselor. The financial aid counselor will go over financial aid options, including academic scholarships and federal grants and loans.

ACCREDITATION:

The Accrediting Council of Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) which accredits the College of Business and Technology (CBT College), is no longer recognized by the US Department of Education.

CBT College has 18 months following the loss of its USDOE-recognized accrediting agency to find a new accrediting agency to maintain eligibility to receive funds under Title IV, HEA programs. If CBT College does not obtain accreditation within the 18 month period, CBT College would no longer be eligible to receive funds under Title IV, HEA programs.
