Founded in 1963, UWF is recognized for a commitment to academic success. With particularly outstanding programs in Engineering and the Humanities, University of West Florida is a mid-sized public university that offers a range of other academic degrees and an exciting assortment of student life options in a tropical coastal town.

Located along the Gulf Coast, Pensacola, Florida is filled with natural, scenic beauty. That's just one reason why attending the university is such a pleasant experience.

The student life opportunities also make for an enjoyable four years. There are on-campus theatre productions, student government, a student newspaper, volunteer opportunities, a mock trial group and other student activities.

However, since you're there to earn a degree you'll be happy to know that in addition to its top Engineering and Humanities programs, UW Pensacola offers bachelor's degrees in Business, Liberal and Performing Arts, various science majors and a number of professional fields including Pre-Medicine, Pre-Law, Health Care Administration and Social Work.

Graduate programs and even associate's degrees are also available.

Student at This School - Grad Year 2012

Overall Rating

Once I entered the campus, the feeling of anxiety and fear cleared it's way for the sense at ease and pride. Seeing and feeling how welcoming the environment and people were around me made me realize that I was already at home. There is no college that can out run this feeling in my chest, the feeling of ARGO PRIDE.

Overall Rating

I mostly enjoyed the small sense of community I felt during my time at UWF, whether it was in the classroom or amongst fellow Greeks, I always felt as though I was surrounded by close friends. It is so nice to find a home away from home!
