Overall

I like STLCC because it balances into my life very well. It may not be a large university, but it is local, affordable, safe, and it offers the courses I need to transfer to a different university in the future. I can easily arrange my classes around my personal, and work schedule. The student body, professors, and office staff are great to be around, and make the time I spend there enjoyable.

Academics

The class sizes are a typical roster of 30 or less students, so the student has excellent access to the professor if help is desired. The professors all offer office hours and appointments to ensure a student gets the help they need. I currently have about 30 hours of credit and in those classes, the workload was very manageable with my personal and work life as long as I kept up on my work.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus atmosphere at STLCC Meramec is very nice. Although small, the landscaping is eye catching, and gives the campus a nice touch. The parking lots are large, clean and organized. I also favor the fact that throughout the whole parking lot, it is well lit and emergency call stations are available in case of a student in a distressed situation. The computer labs offer free printing and flexible hours. Meramec also offers many organizations to students looking to get involved with the campus. Anyone can find something to join.

Overall

My favorite thing about my school is the teachers. They really care about the success of their students. My second favorite thing is the affordability. If your in a poor financial position, financial aid covers tuition and books.

Academics

The work load is decent and hard enough to stretch a students mind, Most of the teachers are great, like Dr. Gordon and Dr. Higdon. The class sizes are small and it's each to get one-on-one attention from instructors which is very helpful.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The campus is pretty peaceful overall, but it can get a bit rough at times. I like the facilities like library. The parking lot is a good size and I feel safe enough on campus to spend time there after dark.

Overall

The experience that I had was a good one from the very first class. I was very nervous about going back to school after 30 years of being out of high school. One of the teacher that I had was very informative and she helped me in many ways. She was a Sociology teacher. I wish that I had found a adviser to help me decide what to go into before I started the classes though. I would have probably have chosen a different field but overall I was very pleased with everything that has gone on thus far.I only have one more class before graduation.

Academics

I was very pleased with all the classes and all the Professors have been very personable. I have liked everyone of them. The class size was just right for me. I don't like big classes. That is why I am not sure where I am going to go next.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The computer lab has been awesome for me it is quite. The parking can get a bit frustrating at first but after the first 3 weeks it gets better. The campus police are very helpful. I ran out of gas once and I needed my car jumped because the battery died and both times it took them a very short time to help me.
