I love the look of the campus at UB, it is so modern and the perfect size! I love that all the buildings are connected so that you never have to be outside in the terrible weather. Im also quite content with the professors and the classes.
Academics
I love the class sizes. You don't get the one-on-one with the professors as much as in a smaller school but recitation classes are much smaller and engaging. I'm quite content with the professors and the courses offered at UB.
College Life
The student life at UB is very lively! There is always something going on in the Union or in the dorms so you are never bored. Its close to stores and restaurants. There is a club for everyone and everything. If you think of one, you can create a club of your own!

A lot of majors to choose from, good professors, nice campus except for the cold weather. My most memorable experience is when they engraved my name on the wall of the student union. I can go back to the school 20 years later and will be able to see my name there.
Academics
The class sizes were not too large, most professors were open and good. The work load varied depending on the department which you were in. I studied two subjects and one department was a little more challenging than the other. I would say you will get a good education at UB.
College Life
Lots of clubs to select from and there is so much to do on campus. There are also a lot of restaraunts and the campus itself is pretty. I lived on the north campus but a lot of people lived on the south as well. There are also plenty of different options as to the type of housing that you'd like.

UB is a great place to go to school if you are confident in your studying abilities and able to be independent. There is always something to do either on campus or off and it is very diverse. The only thing i dont like about UB is the food on campus isnt really that good and its very expensive.
Academics
The class sizes are huge when youre an undergrad, but if you know how to study and meet with your professors youll do fine. the work load is average, nothing to extreme. A lot of the science professors have really thick accents that are hard to understand in the giant lecture halls, but as long as you sit up in front, and go visit them during office hours you'll do fine in class.
College Life
the atmosphere is very friendly, theres a ton of clubs and teams that host events all the time, and a lot of them are for free. you feel very safe on campus with the amount of police and emergency telephones around. the libraries also provide students with safety walks either to the bus stop or to their cars if you are feeling unsafe.

Overall, I'm pleased with my experience at UB. Once I came out of my shell and warmed up to undergrad life, I met several friends I still keep in contact with. I did dislike how little help there was in placing students with humanities or liberal arts majors. There were people available to talk to, but I found if you were uncertain of a question to ask, no one could help direct you.
Academics
I enjoyed many of my classes in the college of arts and sciences, and found the workloads to be manageable. Class sizes varied, but you knew what you were getting into whether you signed up for a lecture class or not. Most of the professors were nice; several I absolutely loved. There were, however, the occasional few I couldn't stand, but that's all a matter of personal preference.
College Life
In the dorms/on-campus apartments, the RAs and CAs hosted several activities each month it seemed like, and in the Student Union every Friday night there were activities. North Campus felt very secluded from the world, but it was a quick bus ride to South Campus and then you could easily access downtown Buffalo. Athletics are hit or miss; sometimes they'd hold events to convince people to come, but there was a time when the football team was real popular. All of the bulletin boards around campus advertise various clubs, whether they are SA sponsored or not.

The school was just okay. I had loads of friends, was in a sorority, and still transferred. The school is very hard to work with. You can't be forced into classes with ease. If I'm paying for classes I should be allowed to get into any class I'd like that I need for my major, and not have to take them over the summer.
Academics
You can only have up to 18hrs. Good luck gettings into classes and you will NEVER be able to retake a class during the spring or fall. All freshman classes have at least 200 students in them. They are a WASTE of time, so easy!
College Life
Clubs sucked, there is no athletic support or school spirit so athletics are pretty lame. Weekend events are go to one of the two bars at south campus. It's the same thing over and over and over again. Greek life is so lame on campus.

The college is great! UB has basically every major and is very helpful with future plans such as internships, jobs and clinicals. I am only a sophmore and I already have a internship, at most other colleges you wouldnt be able to get an internship till your third or fourth year.
Academics
The classes are very big, so if you like bigger schools UB is great. Depending on your major depends on the amount of workload, I am a biology B.S major and most of the labs and classes come with a lot of work, but my roommate is a buisness major who had about two hours of homework a night.
College Life
Campus safety is really good at UB. For all the the others like club and social life there is always something to do, UB has almost every club you can imagine. the sports are really good too. UB football is huge and the games are extremly fun.
