Overall

Overall, West Coast Ultrasound Institute is a great school to attend. The classes and curriculum are clearly explained multiple times, so each student understands what he or she is getting in to. Also, the owner of the school is constantly making sure all of her school's classes and requirements meet those requirements of the medical field, on a national scale. There never seems to be a day when the owner, Myra, is not looking for how she can improve her school even further. The prices are clearly laid out for each student, and if there is going to be any change in prices, students are not surprises by such costs; instead, the students are informed well in advance of these changes.

Academics

The school's class size is perfect. There are about 20 students in each class, usually less. This is a perfect size for a lecture, because each student has a chance to progress with the teacher's help. There is no favoritism or embarrassment between teachers and students. There is also always ample opportunity for a student to gain the help that he or she needs in order to be successful.

Campus Facilities & Safety

The huge downside of this school is the location of the facility, the parking, and the building itself. The location of the campus is in the middle of beverly hills, on a busy street corner. Living 29 miles away, it still takes about an hour to get to school on a good day. Traffic is horrendous and the campus is not located anywhere near the freeway. Once you arrive at the school, there is literally no parking. You either have to park your car in the parking garage (2 hours free then I believe its 3$ every hour after that), on the "2-hours only" street about a block down, or on one of the next few streets which also have limitations. It is a hassle to worry about where to park the car and once the car is parked, it may have to be moved again. I believe it's rude to leave in the middle of a lecture unless it is absolutely necessary, so I find it hard to leave class when it is time to move my car so I can avoid receiving a ticket or having to pay for parking.
