About Hope College

One of Hope College’s greatest assets is its location. Situated in scenic Holland, on the far west side of Michigan, the college provides direct access to Lake Michigan.

Organizations like the Hope Sailing Club take advantage of this, but student life at Hope College includes a variety of activities: music, drama, ministry and community service are just a few.

Hope College also has a commitment to academics. With an undergraduate enrollment over 3,000, the school is larger than most private liberal arts colleges, but it maintains a low student-to-faculty ratio. More than 80 undergraduate programs of study are available, so there’s plenty of academic diversity.

Financial aid at Hope College typically combines student loans, federal grants and part-time employment on campus. The school funds several renewable merit scholarships as well as Distinguished Artist Awards in creative writing, dance, music, theatre and visual arts.

To apply to Hope College, submit the common application along with your high school transcript, ACT/SAT scores and application fee. Additionally, transfer students should include their college transcript. You can expect an admissions decision shortly after submitting your application materials.
