Overall

The school is really nice university with very helpful instructors who know what they doing. There are many places for study at least four libraries are available until midnight for five days. My favorite professor is Parasitology instructor is very helpful.

Academics

The school classes are very small most of them, and there different programs for study fields. Very good professors and helpful ready to help students before and after class. Workload is fairness they assign doable homeworks.th

College Life

The social atmosphere is very friendly there are student organizations and services. Campus safety is 100% no crime and violence. There all types of sports teams to watch weekends and wellness center for gym and other sports activists.

I just love this school. The campus has such a 'college' feel and there is always something going on! The town is really nice as well. I enjoy all my classes and love my professors. There are so many things to help you out--tutors, writing center, success center, office hours, ect--everyone really wants you to succeed. My

Academics

Most of my classes are fair size, once you get more specialized they get smaller. You really get a one-on-one feel with the professor. There are a few larger lecture classes, but they are still enjoyable. You can take a variety of classes and there are several programs to choose from.

College Life

I love college living. UND has made it fantastic. There are over 240 clubs/organizations. The Greek life here is great as well. I always feel safe while walking across campus late at night. Hockey is huge here. Everyone can get into the spirit and enjoy the game! There are always parties every weekend, but the school and different clubs often host things too (movies, games, ect).

Overall

I think that the school has a lot to offer and is has a lot to offer individuals looking for an extensive social experience. As far as the academics go, they are good if you're willing to focus heavily on your studies. I feel that for most people who are transfer students like myself, there is a choice between social experiences and dedication to studies. I find that transfer students either focus on getting to know people and making friends or they focus on their school work and getting done with classes. My most memorable experiences are of final projects, group projects and major evaluation points from classes. As far as tips for prospective students, I highly recommend two things: 1. spend your first year in the dorms so that you can get the social experience and 2. attend the freshman orientation offered by the campus, along with any other "learn to be a good student" type meetings. They really are beneficial in enriching your college experience. I did not attend these courses at UND but I did attend them at my previous university. I wish I would have done both of these things when I transferred to UND.

Academics

The programs and classes are typical of what you'll find at other universities, based on what I've experienced. Very few of my major classes have been outside of the business school so with the exception of courses like Calculus, English and History, I've been in the same buildings.

College Life

I'm not sure I can give a realistic description on the organizations because I missed out on joining a lot of things early on. UND is very close to other opportunities in Grand Forks though so even if on campus life isn't attractive to a student, there are plenty of other places to go around town.

Overall

The school overall has a great atmosphere for learning in turn has an equally great atmosphere for socializing. The campus is big enough where you can meet a variety of different people while going to the numerous number of buildings for classes but is small enough where you can get one-on-one help from the professors if you needed. The Wellness Center is probably my most favorite spot on campus because it is a beautiful building for the purpose of getting yourself in shape and looking great.

Academics

The classes at this school have a great amount of people in them, meaning they are not overly sized except for the core intro classes. The information coming from these lectures/labs is incredible and the workload is perfect relating to the many things you can do around this area. The professors, except for a select few, know exactly what they are trying to teach to you which gives students a great understanding of the class.

College Life

The social atmosphere of the University of North Dakota is tremendous because of the great amount of people that go here along with the many fraternities and sororities. The feeling of being safe on this campus is a major plus when being here. The athletic events are a great way to go out and have fun by going with friends and maybe meeting other new people.

I think that this school for my major is the best thing out there. The University of North Dakota is the best, most innovative and experience giving thing in the United states. It has one of the Best Hockey teams out there. It is a very high quality school for all majors and I would strongly recommend this school.

Academics

It is a medium sized school. It is great because you still have those bog class lectures but also there are many smaller class sizes that get you in touch with your professor and make it a more personal experience. All of the professors here are high educated and very qualified for the job.

College Life

UND does a very good job of getting you involved. There are weekly activities to get you involved and to meet other people. The Greek life is great, they are very welcoming and they want to get you involved to become apart of the university.

Overall I love the university and faculty. My favorite part of attending this university is the Honors Program. They offer special classes that can really improve your skill in crucial areas that can help you succeed in other campus and professional settings.

Academics

The university is really good about offering online sections of most classes which is a great option if you have a busy life or just do better outside of the classroom setting. I have taken two and they have enjoyed both.

College Life

Hockey games, many diverse social events, lots of bars. There is something for everyone. One of my activities is volunteering at the local humane society and I find it very rewarding and enjoy giving back to our great community.

Overall

Overall my time at UND has been positive. For example, a memorable experience was sitting in my advisers office concerned about my progress, grades, etc. I broke into tears, but his encouragement gave me confidence that I'd succeed and today I have no doubt in my mind that I can't.

Academics

UND offers a large array of both undergraduate and post graduate programs with appropriate curriculum and workloads. Unfortunately most professors are at the university primarily for research and are very poor instructors. They are poor communicators to the less educated and have less time to assist students in the learning process.

College Life

I really like the campus, atmosphere, and large selection of extra curricular activities. The university has a variety of clubs from cultural to intramurals and everything in between. We also have a new wellness center and an established athletic program known for it's hockey, which happens to be many of the student's weekend activity come winter.

Overall

UND has one of the best Medical programs around the country. I am currently in my undergraduate study with three majors, biology, psychology, and honors. I have been helped throughout the entire process of choosing classes and majors that fit what I most want to do in life, and the staff has always been helpful and friendly, and almost always will go out of their way to help me. I would recommend UND to anyone who is considering medical, or any type of degree. I would love to keep UND a secret and keep it all to myself, but with the wonderful education and atmosphere, I could never keep the opportunity from someone else. I hope you enjoy UND as much as I do!

Academics

I am currently pursuing three majors, biology pre-health, psychology, and honors. There are hundreds of majors and minors out there, and all sorts of neat programs out there for students who want to better themselves, such as being accepted into the Honors Program at UND. The workload is totally dependent on who you are, and if you can handle more, I would recommend doing more. I currently have 18 credits, and the max amount UND students are allowed to have is 21 credits.

College Life

UND has an amazing student life. There is never a dull moment at the University, and there is a club to suit any person, and any person's extracurricular interests. We also have the Fighting Sioux Hockey team, and other sports, and those always make for a fantastic time around the campus. UND is a campus that must be encountered in person to be fully appreciated.

What I think about this school overall is that its a friendly environment. Its a beautiful and easy campus to get around. The buildings are really nice and clean. I suggest for upcoming students to really get to know the campus.

Academics

All of my classes have been fun and very worth while. The professors are great and easy to talk to, they answer your questions in a suitable manner. The class sizes are just the right size for me, not to much work.

College Life

All the different activities that are offered on campus and off campus are fun and entertaining. They never have the same activities for night life or for the weekends. The athletics are great to watch, they are all winners.

The University of North Dakota is a great choice for furthering your education. The professors are fantastic and the campus itself is absolutely gorgeous. The cold will get you every now and then, but it will be made up for in the campus' sports!

Academics

The professors, regardless of the class size, always incorporate involvement within the discussion and lessons. Interaction between the faculty and the students is what the University of North Dakota prides itself on. As far as the workload is, you will be tested but not drilled into the ground. The teachers realize a social life is needed too!

College Life

If you go out and simply have the desire to be involved, you will find something. There are countless club and organizations to become a member of. And if you are not into sports or Greek life, etc. you will create great social bonds with the people you live with- roommates, suite mates, wing communities, floor communities, hall communities, and so on!
