Cambridge School of Culinary Arts in Cambridge, Massachusetts, attracts students from all over the world who are looking for professional culinary arts training. The cultural richness of the student body as well as the city make for an exciting and diverse educational experience.
Cambridge School of Culinary Arts has several specialized programs of study. These include:
- A professional chef’s program
- A culinary arts certificate program
- A pastry arts program
The length of each program ranges from 16 weeks to 37 weeks.
Students hail from all over the United States and from such countries as Japan, Egypt, Argentina, Brazil and Russia. Students, therefore, get the chance to learn about the cuisine of many cultures. This kind of diverse training equips students to work in a variety of culinary settings.
The city of Cambridge is also diverse and offers many professional opportunities for students and graduates.
Applicants must submit an admissions application, two letters of recommendation, a personal statement and resume. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. An interview may also be required.
The school offers private loans to eligible students. To qualify for these, applicants must have a good credit rating. Cambridge School of Culinary Arts also awards scholarships. These include a scholarship for African-American students and a talent scholarship from the James Beard Foundation. Veteran’s benefits and tuition assistance through Workforce Development are also available.
