Chattanooga, TN is located right on the Tennessee River and has a lot of beautiful architecture around the waterfront. It tends to fly under the radar below Nashville and Memphis, but Chattanooga has plenty of fun for college students and other residents who call it home.

There is only one major university, UT-Chattanooga, and the area around the school has a college-town feel with many parks and nature, spotted with bars, and other places to gather with friends.

Chattanooga is quickly becoming a southern hub for tech and was the first city in the U.S. to provide fast and cheap internet access to all of its residents, a college student bonus point for the already appealing low cost of living.
