Colleges in Nevada

Nevada, the Silver State, is home to two public universities, four private colleges and universities, four community colleges, one state college, a research institute, and numerous training academies, and proprietary schools. Nevada’s Board of Regents governs the Nevada System of Higher Education (NHSE). Nevada offers associate, bachelors, graduate and doctoral programs including Law, Philosophy, Medical and Dental, and Environmental Sciences at 4 accredited institutions in addition to a variety of subject focused national and international accreditation agencies.

The Atlantic ranked UNLV’s Ph.D in literature with a creative dissertation as one of the top five in the country. The publication also named the MFA international program as one of the top five most innovative programs in the country.
