Nevada Colleges
Nevada is home to more than 50 colleges, universities and technical schools. Most of the state’s population resides in Las Vegas and Reno, so you’ll find most of the colleges in Nevada in these two metropolitan areas as well. Even though gambling and the Vegas strip may be the first thing you think of when considering school in Nevada, the many mountain ranges, valleys, the Hoover Dam and the Mojave Desert offer a beautiful landscape for outdoor adventures during downtime between classes as well. The Nevada System of Higher Education is made up of five public Nevada colleges and universities including top-ranked University of Nevada, Las Vegas, College of Southern Nevada and Truckee Meadows Community College.
